So far so good …


I was up by 7:45, only 15 minutes late…not bad for the first day. Riley & I were at the gym by 9:15. I did 20 minutes of high-intensity interval training, or HIIT, on the treadmill and 45 minutes of upper body work, then abs and stretches.

The best part? I met another runner mom. She did the Cotton Row 5K on Memorial Day too and faster than I did. We started talking and decided to try to get a running group together. I’m meeting her Thursday at the gym for a Body Jam class. Sweet!

1. Two bottles Propel water 9:30-10:30
2. Protein shake 11:30
3. Salad with spinach, broccoli, cheese, carrots, turkey & ranch/Diet Mt. Dew 1:00

4. Chicken, brown rice/Diet Mt. Dew/2 dark chocolate Hershey’s Kisses 4:30
5. Protein bar/water 6:30
6. Turkey sandwich, a few Doritos/Diet Mt. Dew 8:45

Riley ate some Cheetos earlier and spilled some on the counter. I almost put one in my mouth, then my brain woke up. “Hey! You don’t want that…put it down.” So I did. 🙂 And made my salad.

It sure would help if I wasn’t stuck at my desk working! 🙂

All in all a good day, minus the Doritos…
